Today I'm popping-in to once again to talk about the value of doing a 100 day challenge. I've focused on this topic before, here and here. But when I came across the gorgeous pieces that Lacy Martin is making this year as part of her 100 day challenge, I just had to return to this topic AGAIN

Read below to find out what has inspired Lacy to take part in the challenge 3 years in a row. And join us next week to learn a bit more about Lacy thru my new series 'In Clear Focus'. Enjoy!

This is my 3rd year doing the 100 day challenge. I initially decided to do it because, 3 years ago, I was in the deepest creative block of my life. I couldn’t muster the energy to be creative in any way and it freaked me out.

With the 100 days I always choose a medium I don't work in normally to truly challenge myself. The first year I did realistic animals on an abstract background with funny puns. Last year I did googly eyes. And this year I’m doing digital collage.

The 100 days is going really well. I’m behind, but I always go into it with the intention of just finishing instead of trying to keep a perfect schedule.

It has truly helped me to be more disciplined and creative every day. I'm creating in new ways, learning not to be so damn hard on myself and opening my imagination to how I could merging fine art with digital and other mediums/techniques.
